Detainee's Family Calls on French Government to Release Their Son Being Held in Israeli Jails

Print PDF

JCSER called on the French Prime Minister to exert pressure on the Israeli government to release Salah Al-Hammouri, a French citizen of Palestinian origin, who is being held in Israeli jails. Salah's family currently lives in Jerusalem.

JCSER confirmed that Salah's case must be given special attention by the French government, for being responsible for the fate of its citizens abroad.

JCSER noted that the French government arose an uproar to release the Israeli soldier, who holds the French citizenship and was arrested while he was on military duty, why it did not do the same thing with Salah Al-Hammouri, who was arrested on suspicion of planning an operation that was not carried out, and was not convicted of planning it.
