Israeli police units raided on Tuesday headquarters of Shua'a Women Society in Shu'fat and ordered its closure for one month on allegations of its affiliation with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

The organization was active in women economic empowerment through organizing courses in information technology, project management, development, cosmetology, embroidery, in addition of gender issues.

In its affidavit to JCSER, Naheel Daoud Bazbazat of the organization said, "While I was inside Shua'a Women Society, which locates in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Jerusalem, together with one volunteer and visitor Abeer Abu Khdair, Israeli occupation forces, including plain cloth personnel, raided the offices. They didn't have a search warrant but showed an order claiming the closure of the Society for one month that could be extended to one year. They alleged that the society is affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. According to the order, the Society can appeal within 15 days."
