Security guards of the Israeli Magistrate court attacked three members of Zahdeh family of the Jerusalem neighborhood of Wadi al-Jouz.

The victims were present in the court vicinity to attend the court session of Shadi Zahdeh, 32, who has been arrested with his wife journalist Isra'a Salhab before one month. The attack took place on Nov. 11.

The journalist brother Raja'i Awni Zahdeh, 34, reported the incident to the Jerusalem Center for Social and Economic Rights, JCSER, as follows:

"When the Israeli guards brought my brother to the court hall, my mother tried to approach him, but the guards push her. By then, my brother Fadi interfered to try to convince the guards to allow her to see her son, however the guards responded by dragging him outside the court building."

"At that time, I was standing with the lawyer in the court yard. Consequently, I approached the guards to inquire about what was going on, but one of them ordered me to leave the area."

"However, suddenly one of them wearing dark blue jackets and off white pants punched me in the face causing me to fall on the ground. Some of them jumped over me, while others began to hit me in the face until I started to bleed from my mouth and nose. As a result, I sustained fractures in the nose and bruises in the face particularly around my neck."

"Later, I was transferred with my brother who was beaten also to the police station in the Russian compound. There, we faced charges of attacking the police guards, but they later released us after signing personal bails pending our trials."
