Jerusalem A group of Jewish settlers attacked two Palestinian workers on September, 11, in Kiryat Moshe in West Jerusalem on racist grounds.

The incident took place when Nafez Ali Numan, 31, from Shufat refugee camp and Ehab Abbasi, 26, both work as cleaners with Israel's Jerusalem municipality, were taking a break for breakfast at around 10:30 am in the Jewish neighborhood of Kiryat Moshe. By then, two men wearing Jewish religious garments approached and sprayed tear gas in their faces.

They said in their affidavits to JCSER, "Following the incident, we escaped from the site to a neighboring bakery in which an Arab man works, but we were followed by a group of Jewish youth who were screaming with death to the Arabs."

They added, "We called the police and ambulance which transferred us to Shaare Tzedek hospital and now we are on sick leave and afraid of returning to our work place in that neighborhood since it becomes the epicenter of daily atrocities that target the Arab population, knowing that two weeks ago tires of Abbasi's car were deflated while racist slogans being painting on other Arab owned cars."
