Members of Israeli police brutally attacked a five-member Palestinian from Bab Hutta in the Old City. The attack took place early in the morning last Friday, when Israeli soldiers stormed the family house under the pretext of searching for youth who threw stones for being prohibited from praying the dawn pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque. Some members of the family were transferred to al- Makassed Hospital after sustaining various injuries. The members were identified as: Saleh Deeb Fakhouri, 60, his brother Ahamad Deeb Fakhouri, 55, Muhammad Deeb Fakhouri 47, in addition of his two sons: Abdel Fatah, 26, and Thaer.

In his testimony to JCSER, Saleh Fakhouri said: "Israeli soldiers raided the house in a brutal way and began to search for stone-throwers. However, when I protested against their brutality, they beat and cursed me. I sustained injuries in the head and bruises in my right arm. Later, they fired rubber-coated metal bullets inside my brothers' house."

Saleh's son Rami lost one of his eyes on September 2009 during clashes with Israeli soldiers inside the Old City.
