The Israeli Labor Court has recently approved a settlement reached between JCSER and the National Insurance Institute in Jerusalem to reinstate Nawal Abu Sharkh's health insurance retroactively to January 2007.

JCSER lawyer Mohammed Qadah, who followed up the case file, said, 'The court decision came in the wake of the legal case lodged by the Center on 07 April 2006 against the national insurance institute.'

Mr. Qada submitted to the court an urgent appeal requesting the restoration of the health insurance to Mrs. Abu Sharkh, taking her deteriorating health condition into consideration.

He added, 'In the wake of the legal case, numerous contacts took place between the Center and the national insurance institute. The latter agreed to reinstate the health insurance to the client. The agreement reached between the Center and the institute was approved by the Israeli Labor Court. The court's agreement to reinstate the national insurance became obligatory.
