Members of the Israeli police Special Units arrested on January 3 the Palestinian child Muhammad Ali Dirbas, 6, from in front of his house which locates in Isawiyeh.

The Palestinian child was later transferred to the Israeli police station which locates in Salah Eldin Street.

His father, Ali, reported to JCSER, "After I realized the arrest of my son, I headed to the police station and attended his interrogation. He was charged with stone throwing incidents however, my son denied all the charges. Before midnight, he was released on condition of reporting to the police station next Sunday for further interrogation."

The scared boy was subjected to interrogation for two hours, his father said.

During the day of the boy arrest, some clashes erupted between Israeli police and Palestinian protesters who opposed what they call the provocative visit of Israel's Mayor of Jerusalem to their village the next day to inaugurate a new post office. During the Mayor visit, Israeli police arrested another Palestinian child who was identified as Muhammad Mahmoud Abdel Qader, 14.
