Israeli occupation forces arrested on Sunday two Palestinian children from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras al-Amud. The two were identified as Othman Abu Madi, 10 and Muhammad Saleh al-Risheq, 9.

Abu Madi reported the incident to JCSER saying that, "On Sunday January, 8, I left my home at 9:30 am to buy chips and chocolate from the nearby store, but before that I visited my friend Mohammad al-Risheq who lives in the neighborhood, so that he will accompany me to the store. We both headed to the store on our bikes and bought chips and chocolate. After eating them and while we were on way home, I saw a black Golf car in the street. I did not pay attention to it, but suddenly it stopped in front of us and men in black uniform stepped out of it. One of them was holding a gun and another carried Saleh from his bike and threw him in the back seat of the car. I felt very sacred and ran away, but four of them pursuit and one caught me. They later threw me in the back seat of the car near Saleh. There, I found him crying and I felt very scared because I thought they were settlers and going to beat me. They did not speak to us, but were conversing with each others in Hebrew. Also, I heard one them ordering Saleh to shut up. Afterwards, they drove us to the police station near the post office in Salah el-Din Street. My mother arrived at the police station and they investigated me in her presence about stone throwing incidents. However, I denied the charges and I was released after one of the interrogators threatened to impose a high fine on me in case I am arrested again.
