Israeli police closed two Palestinian organizations in Jerusalem

Israeli police on Sunday ordered closed two Palestinian organizations locating in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan on claims that the two are affiliated with Hamas Movement.

According to the closure order, which was signed by Israeli police General Inspector Yohanan Danino, Silwan Charitable Society was closed for one extendable month. The police also arrested member of its administration body Khaled Mohammad Abbasi.

The other organization is Silwan Islamic Club which was closed also for one extendable month. According to the Israeli police, the closure of the Palestinian organizations comes as part of their joint activities with the Shabak to prevent "terrorist organizations" from operating in Jerusalem.
