The Jerusalem Center for Social and Economic Rights obtained two separate orders to temporarily stop the demolition of two Jerusalemite houses.

In one case, the court order delayed the demolition until February 2005 on condition that the house-owner must submit a building permit application and must meet all the requirements of the building permit codes.

Lawyer Samer Suleiman said, The house-owner must pay the balance of the fine in six monthly installments in amount of 500 shekels each installment and another four installments in the amount of 1,250 shekels each installment.

In another case, the court delayed the demolition for 18 months. Lawyer Ziad Qawar said, The court ordered a fine of 25,000 shekels to be paid in monthly installments in the amount of 500 shekels per month and signing of 25,000 shekels guaranteeing to break building codes again. The decision is conditional to submitting a building permit application and meeting all building codes.
