100,000-Shekel Arnona (Property) Tax Cancelled

The Jerusalem Center for Social and Economic Rights has obtained the cancellation of 100,000 shekels from a total of 150,000 Shekels in Arnona (Property) Tax. Imposed by West Jerusalem Municipality, on the Palestinian Jerusalemite Diana Kamel Ibrahim, a resident of Occupied Jerusalem.

 

The Centers lawyer, Fareed Mahajnah, said: The amount of Arnona Tax cancelled is part of a total amount of 150,000 shekels that the West Jerusalem Municipality was demanding from the Palestinian Jerusalemite as property tax. After rounds of negotiations with the Municipality, the amount was reduced drastically and the balance would be paid in installments.
