JCSER was able to attain an acceptance from the Ministry of Interior and the National Insurance Institute on a family reunification application that was submitted by Jerusalem resident, Ashraf Salameh, back in 1999.

Lawyer Mohamed Qadah said, The application was rejected in July of 2002 which lead Salameh to JCSER to ask for legal assistance in September of 2002. The Center followed up Salamehs case file with the Ministry of Interior for two years. Recently the Ministry of Interior informed JCSER granting Salameh an acceptance on his application effective August 30, 2004, in return JCSER would not file a complaint in an Israeli court. Salameh was also granted National Insurance benefits for him and his children.
