JCSER obliges West Jerusalem Municipality to cancel all Arnona tax charges on a Jerusalemite businessman

JCSER obliged the WJM to cancel all Arnona tax charges on Ibrahim Najjar of Occupied Jerusalem, after the Center petitioned the Municipalitys Appeals Committee.

Lawyer Samir Suliman said, the Appeals Committees decision to drop all arnona tax charges on Najjars two story shop was based on two reasons. The first part of the shop was closed down due to renovations and thus, the shop was not operational. The second part of the shop was considered inoperable due to its bad condition.Mr. Suliman clarified, in a previous attempt; the Municipalitys Appeals Committee rejected his clients appeal on June 22, 2004 and granted him an exemption on half the Arnona tax amount only.
