JCSER was able to oblige the NII to reinstate the benefits and entitlements of a Palestinian Jerusalemite Said Tarahi after they were suspended since late 2001on the pretext that his place of residency was not in Jerusalem.

Mr. Tarahi came to JCSER on December 26, 2004 asking for legal assistance to prevent the NII from suspending his health care insurance. The NII suspended Mr. Tarahis health care insurance despite the fact that he works for Al-Awqaf in Occupied Jerusalem and his place of residency is in Occupied Jerusalem.

Lawyer Mohammad Kaddah said, NII agreed to reinstate his health care benefits to my client after we presented the court with evidence that proved my clients place of his residency and work was in East Jerusalem. Then the court issued a ruling that obliged the NII to reinstate Mr. Tarahis benefits and entitlements.
