JCSER attained an order from the Israeli court of local affairs delaying a notice issued by the West Jerusalem Municipality to demolish a Biet Hanina district home of Occupied Jerusalem. The court deferred the demolition order till May of 2006.

However, the court issued a 42,000 NIS fine and gave the homeowner (Jameel Sahloudi) till May 2006 to prove that he has taken significant steps to obtain a building permit.

Earlier, the West Jerusalem Municipality had issued a 67,300 NIS to Mr. Shaloudi and a demolition notice effective charging that he has violated building regulations, said advocate Mohammad Kaddah.

In another case file, JCSER attained a court order to defer the demolition of Al-Mukaber district home of Occupied Jerusalem. The court delayed the demolition order till June 10, 2005 conditional to significant building permit proceedings have to be preformed by the homeowner.
