Court decisions preventing the deportation of three Jerusalemite families obtained

The Jerusalem Center for Social & Economic Rights (JCSER) has obtained three orders from the Israeli Central Court preventing the deportation of three Jerusalemite families, until the Court studies their cases. The Centers lawyer, Ashraf Seif, who is dealing with two of these cases, said the Court has given the Interior Ministry 30 days to reply to the petitions submitted by the Center on behalf of the Amneh Shanti and Rana Tbeileh families.

The Center has obtained a third decision in favor of Hanan Ammar, preventing the deportation of the family until the Court studies the case and receives a reply from the Interior Ministry in this regard.

Furthermore, the Israeli Supreme Court has approved an agreement between the Centers lawyer and the Interior Ministry, under which Safa Tajis three children will be registered on her Jerusalem ID card. However, the Ministry maintained its refusal to grant Safas family reunification application, citing security reasons.
