JCSER condemns the Israeli piracy and crime against the freedom flotilla

Print PDF

Early morning on May 31, Israeli naval commandos stormed the freedom flotilla in international waters off the coast of Israel. The boats were carrying humane assistance to the Palestinian besieged people in Gaza Strip who have been living under Israeli blockade for more than four years.

The Israeli raid left at least nine killed and several others injured in addition of the arrest of some 600 persons including EU parliamentarians.

Jerusalem Center for Social and Economic Rights, JCSER, strongly condemns the Israeli occupation piracy and war crime against unarmed civilians in blatant violation of international law and International Human Rights law.

JCSER requested an immediate international independent investigation into the circumstances of the Israeli military action to hold the criminals responsible for their crimes. The center believes that it is time for the Israeli criminals to pay for their crimes.

JCSER also request the urgent release of the international civilians who were taken as hostages by the Israeli army and now incarcerated in Israeli jails.

The center also believes that the current Israeli crime should encourage the international community to immediately pressure Israel to lift Israeli blockade on Gaza. It also unites its voice with others to speak with one voice against the injustices being suffered by the Palestinian people living under occupation for now more than 43 years.
