The Palestinian child Suhayb Sami al-Rajabi, 17, was arrested from his home in Silwan on the early morning of November 9, 2010 and was taken to custody in the police station at the Russian Compound.

He reported to JCSER: "I was forced to squat in the plaza of the Russian Compound while being forced to put my hand down my thighs. I was forced to stay in that position for a longer period of time."

"During the interrogation, I was charged with throwing a Molotov cocktail against Israeli soldiers who were on patrol in Silwan. According to the interrogator, the incidents took place on October 17 and 18, 2010, however, I answered him that at that time, I was visiting my sick grandmother at hospital. Yet, he was not convinced with my version, therefore he requested me to confess in exchange of releasing me from prison. I responded that in all cases, I would be released because I am innocent. When my I answer provoked him, he punched my in the stomach. Afterwards, two members of the intelligence entered the room and participated in hitting me on various parts of my body."

"On its part, the court decided to remand me in custody for two days. On October 21, my detention was extended until October 24. However, I was not taken to prison, but instead they put me in a cell while tied to a chair for eight hours, during which the police didnt allow me to use the toilet. Later, the Magistrate Court decided to release me on October 31 however, I was not allowed to go back to my house, but to my brother's house in Anata. It ordered me to stay there for two weeks. My parents were ordered also to pay a bail of NIS 600.
