193,000-Shekel Arnona (Municipal Property) Tax Debts Cancelled

Print PDF

The Jerusalem Center for Social & Economic Rights (JCSER) has recently succeeded in obtaining the cancellation of 193,000 shekels Arnona (municipal property) tax debts imposed by the West Jerusalem Municipality (WJM) on Nabil Nahhas from Occupied East Jerusalem, on a property he does not own.

After failing to convince the WJM that he does not own the property, he approached JCSER seeking legal assistance. The Center took all necessary legal procedures and submitted documents proving that the client does not own the claimed property. Accordingly, the WJM decided to dismiss its requests of tax payment of 193,000 shekels on the property on which the tax had been imposed.
