Print PDF

The Jerusalem Center for Social & Economic Rights (JCSER) obtained a decision from the Israeli Municipal Court in West Jerusalem, canceling the imprisonment decision issued against Dr. Talal Abu Afifeh, and the delay fine imposed on him for his failure to pay the amount of 7,000 shekels imposed on him during the 2006 PLC campaign period in violation of Israeli laws.

On 17 March 2007, the Municipal Court decided, before Dr. Abu Afifeh approached the Center for legal assistance, to imprison him and to increase the amount of fine imposed on him from 7,000 shekels to 10,000 shekels.
